Being a Taurus, I will admit to liking some of the finer things in life. But when it comes to clothing, I have pretty simple tastes. Jeans and button-down shirts; lots and lots of cotton, with the occasional foray into something finer - the softest shirt I own is a blend of silk, linen, and cotton: complete hedonism. But, for the most part, simple and affordable. That said, it's the tiny details that bug me...
For jeans, Old Navy works well for me. They have my size, I can order online*, less than a week later, boom! I have new pants. They are good quality, hold up well, don't tend to shrink in the dryer, etc. These are all positives. But there issomething that really irks me: the inconsistencies. If I buy two pair of jeans - same size and same style - they should be the same. They should not be sized differently, should not fit this pumpkin of a body any differently just because they are a different colour of denim. It's stupid!
And it's utterly consistent! [Consistent inconsistencies. Wait, what??] Invariably, the "medium" denim is snugger, fits tighter, and runs longer than the light. I currently own four pair, two each of straight leg and painters, a medium and a light in each, all four the exact same size. In both styles, the darker pairs fit tighter, ride lower, and are longer than the light pairs. I have to roll them up to keep from breaking my bloody neck as they descend down to cover my shoes! And I can't get them any shorter because if they do shrink, it's in the length, and the world just does not deserve that. And really, when I sit down to order jeans, should I have to stop and remember that I wear a totally different size, based on the colour? What are the odds that's gonna happen? Meanwhile, the light-coloured pairs fit the same as one another. This isn't new, nor is it constrained to just these two styles.
Seriously, Old Navy: cut the crap. Please make jeans that are labeled the same size really be the same size.
Oh, and your mannequins are completely creepy. Just stop it.

Amen on variations. I buy my pants from the local warehouse store for $12 a pair. They last forever, and are cheap. I've never ran into the problem that you have luckily.
Keep it up and you'll be clothes shopping for me!
